Founded by Jon Seabrook with a simple belief: that fire and security should be done properly, and wrapped in the kind of organisation, communication and transparency that clients actually deserve.
The Beginning
Erif was founded in 2015 by Jon Seabrook, who spent years working in the fire and security industry and grew increasingly frustrated by how poor the standard of service was. Missed visits. Vague certificates. Hard-to-reach contractors. Billing surprises. And clients who had no idea whether their buildings were actually protected or not.
The founding idea was straightforward: build a company that does the technical work to a genuinely high standard, and wraps it in the kind of organisation, communication and transparency that clients actually deserve. No nonsense. No excuses. Just good work, done properly.
Starting with a handful of clients in the south of England, Erif grew steadily through word of mouth — because when you do something well, clients tell other people. By 2015, we were managing estates across multiple regions. By 2020, we'd built a national operation with engineers across the UK.
Today, we protect thousands of buildings — from individual care homes to national retail chains — and we're still growing. But the founding principle hasn't changed. Fire and security done properly, for people who need to be able to trust it.

What We Stand For
These aren't words on a wall. They're the standards we hold ourselves to every day — and the things clients tell us they notice.
If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right. We don't cut corners, rush jobs or issue certificates for work we haven't completed. The buildings we protect deserve better than that.
Tell clients what they need to know, when they need to know it. Honest pricing. Honest assessments. No upselling work that isn't needed. No vague reports that hide more than they reveal.
We flag problems before they become emergencies. We remind clients about upcoming visits before they need to chase us. We're organised so our clients don't have to be.
Answer the phone. Reply to emails. Turn up on time. Explain things in plain English. The basics that much of the industry still manages to get wrong, consistently.
