🔥 Fire Safety · Fire Sprinkler Systems

Automatic suppression that acts
before the damage is done.

Sprinkler systems respond to fires automatically — before they spread, before the brigade arrives, and often before anyone even knows there's a fire. We design, install and maintain systems built to last.

BS EN 12845 Life Safety & Property Protection Design & Install Wet & Dry Systems Commercial & Residential

Automatic fire sprinkler systems are one of the most effective forms of fire protection available. Statistically, they control or extinguish a fire in the vast majority of cases before the fire brigade even arrives — dramatically reducing risk to life and damage to property.

We design and install sprinkler systems for a wide range of building types, including commercial premises, warehouses, care homes, hotels, residential blocks and new-build developments. Every system is designed by our qualified engineers in accordance with BS EN 12845.

For existing buildings, we also carry out condition surveys and maintenance of installed systems — including those originally installed by other contractors. If your current maintenance isn't giving you confidence, talk to us.

Types of sprinkler system we install

Wet pipe systems — the most common type, suitable for most premises
Dry pipe systems — for unheated spaces where pipes could freeze
Pre-action systems — for areas where accidental activation must be avoided
Residential sprinkler systems for domestic and care home settings
ESFR (early suppression fast response) for high-bay warehouses
Combined sprinkler and hydrant systems for large commercial buildings

Everything covered, start to finish.

Common Questions

Things people usually ask us.

Will sprinklers cause significant water damage if they activate?
Only the sprinkler head(s) in the immediate area of a fire activate — typically one or two heads. The water damage from a sprinkler activation is almost always far less than the damage caused by the fire itself, or by the volumes of water used by the fire brigade.
Are sprinkler systems legally required?
Sprinklers are required in certain building types under current Building Regulations — including care homes and, in Wales, all new domestic dwellings. They're also increasingly specified by insurers and building managers as best practice. We can advise on whether a system is required or recommended for your building.
Can a sprinkler system be retrofitted to an existing building?
Yes, and we carry out retrofit installations regularly. It requires careful planning and some disruption, but it's achievable in most building types. We'll assess feasibility and give you a clear picture of what's involved before any work begins.
How much water does a sprinkler system use?
A residential sprinkler head discharges at approximately 60 litres per minute — compared to the 1,000 litres per minute used by a fire hose. Sprinkler systems use a fraction of the water that a fire brigade attendance would involve.
